Rich Fuller, P.E.
Senior Project Manager
Rich continues redefining what a proactive and detail-oriented leader means. His clients are always top of mind, a philosophy he instills in his team. No matter the size of the project, Rich ensures IDS’ younger generation of engineers and designers are providing well-vetted construction plans and documents that exceed client expectations.
He has dedicated his entire career to the industry, demonstrating professional competency in various engineering disciplines. He has overseen the design of public infrastructure and roadway projects throughout the greater Houston area, extending across the State of Texas and beyond.
When Harris County needed a roadway project designed and constructed before Super Bowl LI, Rich stepped up to the challenge. The project aimed to improve mobility and drive experience around NRG Stadium to support the anticipated traffic. The 6,000 LF asphalt and concrete road project kicked off in February 2016, and the final plans were delivered two months later. His oversaw a team of engineers and CAD specialists who focused on constructible designs easily understandable by contractors minimizing RFI’s while promoting contractor efficiency and favorable bids, allowing the contractor to maintain budget and schedule.
Between high school and college, Rich served in the United States Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division and rapidly advanced from Private to Sergeant. The team he was on was among the very first deployed to Desert Shield/Storm.
When not at work, Rich and his wife enjoy being empty nesters after all four daughters’ completed college. Always an outdoorsman, Rich enjoys hiking, mountain biking, motorcycles, and saltwater fishing. In 2022, he became an American Sailing Certified Sailor by completing the required courses dictated by the American Sailing Association with real dreams of sailing the islands with Denise.
