IDS Engineering Group Promotes New Director of Public Works
IDS Engineering Group (IDS), a civil engineering and surveying firm in Houston, is pleased to announce the promotion of Carol Harrison, P.E., PMP, ENV SP to the position of Director of Public Works.
Carol joined IDS in 2014 and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical skills in managing a variety of projects. She has been instrumental in delivering high-quality projects for clients across a range of sectors, including public works, site development, and construction management. Prior to joining IDS, she worked for other large multidisciplinary engineering firms.

As Director of Public Works, Carol will be responsible for overseeing public sector projects for the firm including, but not limited to, roadway and paving, water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, drainage and flood control, and parks and open spaces. This position brings significant value to the firm by ensuring successful project delivery, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, as well as providing technical guidance and support to the project teams and engineers. Carol will work closely with our senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies for growth and success within the public works sector.

Carol has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. She is a licensed Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, and Envision Sustainability Professional. When Carol is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three children. They can be found spending time outdoors, gathering with their group of extended family, or simply relaxing at home.
