Kelly Wilkinson, P.E.

Senior Project Manager

Kelly serves as a Senior Project Manager within the Land Development and MUD Practices at IDS. She has more than a decade of experience in public works, land development, and private structural design. This combination of skillsets allows her to approach projects from a different perspective, ultimately providing clients with a more well-rounded design and project management team. Kelly currently provides engineering and project management support to several of IDS’ municipal utility districts and land development clients. In addition, she maintains a close working relationship with her clients and their consultants to address all ongoing design and construction projects best.

She enjoys complex projects and recently completed a sanitary sewer force main project in Katy which redirected wastewater from a regional wastewater treatment plant facility to a different plant owned by one of her utility districts. This project involved several gas pipeline crossings, numerous trenchless construction methods, two major thoroughfare road crossings, and coordination with adjacent utility districts, operators, and the construction of a concurrent lift station project.

As a District Engineer, Kelly works alongside other consultants to solve operational problems and help her clients budget and plan for their future. Facility resilience is top of mind as Houston area communities continue to grow and infrastructure continues to age. Kelly enjoys advising utility districts on the best ways to rehabilitate their existing infrastructure and plan for the growing needs of their communities.

Outside the office, Kelly and her husband, Austin, enjoy cooking classes when they travel. It’s one of their favorite ways to learn and experience new cuisines and places.
